The MUSIC NOTE series was part of a group of acrylic paintings designed to symbolize, through illegible texts, the Babel-like chaos in our world. The illegibility of music notes, at least among the general world population, is clear. I was delighted to find a stencil featuring a music note because the large size of the note gave me an opportunity to use, in the background, what my favorite art teacher, K. Coffin, described in a review of my first art exhibition, back in the 1970s, as my "velvety transition from one color to the next." My deteriorated eyesight required me to use a limited palette. I still delighted in using bright colors.
